Many citizens went for outing during the Qingming Festival holiday. According to statistics released by the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism (JMBCT), Jingzhou received a total of 336,700 tourists during the holiday, generating revenues of approximately 143 million yuan.

Jingzhou presented a variety of cultural and tourism activities during the Qingming Festival holiday. Honghu Tourism Investment Group took the opportunity of Party history study and education to launch two red tourism routes: the water route crossing reed marshes reproduces the scene of the red guards on the Honghu Lake battling amid reed marshes; the land route following the traces of the Red Army recreates the scene of the life of Second Front Red Army in the war. The routes attracted officials, workers, students and citizens to the scenic spots to honor and mourn martyrs, receive patriotic education and experience the charm of red culture. Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage presented an event themed "Meeting in Fantawild Oriental Heritage for Splendor of Flowers and Fireworks", including a Han clothing parade in the day and a firework show at night. King Chu's Mausoleum presented a kite culture festival in which tourists viewed windmills, flew kites and listened to wind bells to experience traditional culture and the charm of Chu style.

To maintain the order of the tourism market during the holiday, the cultural market law enforcement teams at the district and county levels conducted a massive dragnet screening of scenic spots, net cafes and entertainment places, sending 183 law enforcers to inspect cultural and tourism operators for 297 times. For epidemic control problems and potential safety hazards found in the inspection, the operators involved have been urged to make correction. All the scenic spots in Jingzhou were in good order during the holiday without any major tourism accident or tourist complaint.
